Latch-Type Speed Nuts®
Latch-Type Speed Nuts® can be quickly and easily snapped
into center-panel locations for blind assembly attachments.
They are self-retained in a screw- or bolt-receiving position
requiring no welding, clinching, or riveting. The latching
principle is easily incorporated into other fastening designs
to provide attachment of cables, wires, molding, angle brackets,
spring catches and other center-panel-located fasteners.
How to apply Latch-Type Speed Nuts
Place Speed Nut over clearance
holes in panel.
Insert “toe” in hole and press forward until
“heel” catches.
To remove, slide tool under Speed Nut to release “heel”,
then press back until “toe” disengages.
“Special” offset latches attach to panel by inserting
prong end through rectangular hole.
Then insert assembly tool in round hole to drift Speed Nut
into bolt-receiving position. The Speed Nut self=seals the
rectangular panel hole.
