Hi-Stress
Fastener
Hi-Stress Fasteners are made of heavy gauge material and are
designed for use on fine-thread-series screws. Their modified
Speed Nut impression provides vibration resistance and constant
torque on the screw threads, assuring a locked-on grip at
any point on the screw-even after many removals. Types are
available for either welding or riveting and screw sizes range
from 8-32 to 1/4-20.
The rugged Hi-Stress Fastener
is made of heavy gauge material and is designed for use on
fire-thread-series screws. The modified Speed Nut impression
provides vibration resistance and constant torque on the screw
thread assuring a lock-on grip at any point on the screw even
after many removals. It is light in weight and has a lower
installation torque than most multiple-threaded, prevailing
torque fasteners. Thread galling is eliminated and more rapid
insertion of bolts and screws is possible.
Types are available for either welding or riveting and screw
sizes range from 8-32 to ¼-20.
How to apply Hi-Stress Fasteners
Before final assembly, Hi-Stress-Type
Fasteners are spot-welded or riveted in screw-receiving
position. Mating panels are aligned and screw driven. Resiliency
in the modified Speed Nut impression allows slight misalignment
and absorbs tolerance build-up where several fasteners are
required on a single unit. |
