Screw Head & threads, Bit & Adapters
Screws come in all shapes, sizes, and materials. The most important issue is to select the correct screw head and the correct screw thread in unison with each other to achieve the correct screw solution for the job.
There are three type of screws with different screw threads:
-
Tapping Screws
-
Thread Cutting Screws
-
Machine Screws
Each thread must then be put would a particular head. Each screw can vary in length between 1/16th to 6 inches in any increments of 1/16”
The Diameter of the thread may range from 1/16 to 1” in any increments of 1/16th.
Other considerations for screw selection are hole sizes, torque performance and factors such as types of corrosion and plating options.
